Kenya Airways, a leading African carrier, and Air India, India’s premier global airline, have announced a new codeshare partnership aimed at enhancing seamless travel between India, Africa, and beyond. This agreement builds on the existing interline partnership between the two airlines, offering passengers greater connectivity and convenience.
Under the codeshare arrangement, Air India will place its ‘AI’ code on Kenya Airways’ twice-daily flights between Nairobi and Mumbai. This will allow passengers to connect effortlessly via Mumbai to Air India-operated flights to key destinations such as Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Malé, Melbourne, and Singapore. Additionally, travelers from Nairobi can already access multiple destinations within and outside India via Delhi on Air India flights.
The partnership also enables Kenya Airways to place its ‘KQ’ code on Air India’s flights between Delhi and Nairobi, providing African passengers with enhanced access to Delhi via Nairobi.
